I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. After graduating from the University of Oregon, I decided to return to Salt Lake to attend law school at the University of Utah. Upon graduation, I joined the international litigation firm of Howrey LLP, where I spent almost seven years practicing complex commercial and securities litigation throughout the country. Working on high stakes litigation matters, I learned that cases are won or lost in the details, and leaving no stone unturned is the best way to serve my clients.

I also took full advantage of Howrey's renowned pro bono program, dedicating hundreds of hours per year fighting for the less fortunate and assisting nonprofit organizations in civil rights cases. From representing individuals in criminal, mortgage fraud, and family law matters to working the ACLU of Utah on a major First amendment case and investigation in Utah's public defender system, I consistently devoted efforts to local clients and organizations.

Upon leaving Howrey and after an enlightening investigation into indigent criminal defense in Utah, I began focusing my practice on criminal defense with the belief people are in most need of adequate representation when charged with a crime. I bring extraordinary attention to detail and tenacity to all of my criminal and civil cases and seek to develop individualized case strategies and set incremental goals with all of my clients.
