As an experienced criminal defense lawyer, Enku Edgar Lin has successfully defended hundreds of cases. He has obtained numerous case dismissals as well as “Not Guilty” verdicts at trial. Additionally, Attorney Lin has also helped his clients avoid lengthy punitive sentences by taking a holistic approach in presenting their story.

In a homicide case where his client maintained absolute innocence, Attorney Lin brought a unique legal challenge that suppressed a faulty identification resulting in a full case dismissal. This is just one example of many where Attorney Lin successfully fought for his client. He has also succeeded in challenging fundamentally unfair statutes, and has brought equal protection challenges against the government. Attorney Lin regularly lectures in statewide conferences on a variety of legal issues related to criminal defense and civil rights litigation.

In addition to criminal law, Attorney Lin also prosecutes bad law enforcement actors in civil rights cases. He believes that a community cannot thrive when bad police officers engage in unconstitutional acts with impunity.

Attorney Lin believes in the importance and power of engaging with the community. In 2016, his belief in serving the community motivated him to run for state legislature in the heart of Milwaukee on the platform of criminal justice reform. In 2018, he was named to the Governor & Lt. Governor’s Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Advisory Counsel. He sits on the board of Wisconsin Justice Initiative, Black Leaders Organizing for Communities, and the Asian american Pacific Islander Coalition of Wisconsin.

In his spare time, Attorney Lin enjoys rock climbing, watching Bucks basketball, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with his wife and toddler.
