Before developing his own criminal law practice, Robb articled in the Advocacy department at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP – one of Canada’s largest law firms. In 2003 Robb left working in finance, at RBC Dominion Securities, to fulfill a lifelong goal of becoming a trial lawyer. While in law school Robb won two provincial championships for Court Room Advocacy – the Arnup Cup and the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association Cup. In the latter competition, Robb was recognized as the best individual advocate in the competition. In private practice, Robb has argued and won numerous trials in Ontario’s Provincial and Superior courts, however, many of his clients have benefited from his negotiation skills out of court. Robb has repeatedly managed to have his clients’ charges dropped or stayed even when those clients faced numerous and serious charges.
