Tyler Raymond attended Carleton University in Ottawa, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts with the highest honours in Law and Economics. After working for the Government of Canada, Tyler attended law school at the University of Ottawa, receiving his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2016. He was a decorated advocate in law school, including being awarded top oralist in the University of Ottawa by former Supreme Court Justice Louise Charron. After graduating from law school, Tyler articled with one of the most prestigious commercial law firms in Calgary, Alberta.
Tyler has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and various administrative tribunals, where his work has been the subject of several published decisions. For two years, Tyler worked as a Crown Prosecutor in Lethbridge, AB, where he conducted more than fifty serious criminal trials addressing an array of criminal matters. He was the lead Wildlife Prosecutor and was a member of the Crown's Impaired Driving Task Force.
Before joining Advocate Law in 2021, Tyler worked as a criminal defence lawyer with a mid-size firm in St. Albert, AB. Tyler represented clients charged with a wide range of charges at this firm, including impaired driving, sexual assault, controlled substance and weapon possession.
