Alyson Dorin is a criminal defence lawyer with experience defending all types of crimes, including homicide, drug trafficking, assault and sexual assault offences. She also has experience securing the return of money or items seized by the police.
Ms. Dorin formerly acted as a federal prosecutor in relation to narcotics offences on behalf of the Public Prosecution Service of Canada. From this experience, she has developed an expertise in challenging the legality of searches and arrests.
Ms. Dorin completed her articles with the firm. She attended the Juris Doctor program in the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor in Ontario. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. She was a Litigator at Community Legal Aid in Windsor. Prior to law school, she was a Poverty Law Advocate at Newton Advocacy Group Society. Ms. Dorin is also a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and is a guest speaker with the Justice Education Society of BC. She is a member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
