Suite #1204,, Vancouver, British Columbia
Born and raised in British Columbia, Catherine Rose graduated from McGill University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts (in Sociology). She then completed law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC. After law school, Catherine completed her articles in criminal law at Sutherland Jetté in Vancouver.
During her undergraduate studies, Catherine undertook an internship with the Victorian Department of Justice in Melbourne Australia where she worked in the Courts and Tribunals Unit.
Prior to Catherine’s call to the Bar, she spent one summer articling at a prominent regional firm. During her time in law school, Catherine was a student with the UBC Law Innocence Project, working towards having wrongful convictions overturned. This sparked her interest in criminal law and commitment to procedural fairness and human rights.
Since being called to the Bar Catherine has represented clients at all levels of court in the Province. She has handled violent files such as sexual assaults and domestic violence, but also took interest in drug trafficking and driving offences including reviewing Immediate Roadside and Administrative Driving Prohibitions.
In addition to working on her own files she has also had the opportunity to work alongside senior lawyers on lengthy jury trials and appeals.
In 2019, Catherine joined Pender Litigation as an associate criminal defence lawyer. Her practice has taken her all over the lower mainland and Fraser Valley (including Surrey, Delta, Langley, and Abbotsford). Catherine’s practice also brings her to Kelowna on a regular basis.
Whether you are challenging a traffic ticket or mounting an appeal, Catherine provides dedicated representation to all of her clients. Catherine is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. She also belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society.
