Originally born and raised in Winnipeg, Andrew moved west to Vancouver for his undergraduate studies, then returned to Winnipeg to find his calling. Applying to law school on the advice of someone wiser than himself, Andrew quickly realized a passion for advocacy and criminal law. Whether it’s due to the number of people in his life who were involved in the mental health field or addictions work, Andrew felt a strong purpose in defending and advocating for those whom many people may have written off.

After moving to Brandon in 2011 to provide some stability for his growing family, Andrew worked in a general practice for a number of years at a prestigious Westman firm. Over time his practice began to focus on criminal defence and child protection and it became clear that his passion for advocacy and service to others was unshakable. With his wife’s blessing – and some tremendous support from family and friends – he founded AJS Law on December 1, 2016 to promote the ideals of defence and advocacy.

Andrew and his wife have been living in Brandon since 2011 and have 3 children. They are proud to call Brandon home.
