Before opening The Law House in 2008, Colleen Clark graduated from the Radio and Television program at Centennial College in Scarborough. Ms. Clark subsequently spent 13 years working for the media before staying home with her two sons. She then decided to go back to school with two young sons and entered into law school.
Ms. Clark graduated from Osgoode Law School in 2006 and was called to the bar in 2007. She has appeared as counsel regularly in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, with regards to numerous offences under the Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act and the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
Ms. Clark is an active member of the Duty Counsel panel at the Newmarket Courthouse, and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the York Region Law Association, and the Simcoe County Law Association. Ms. Clark is a regular speaker in High Schools throughout the York and Simcoe County regions as to the role of the defence counsel in the criminal justice system, and the rights of young persons in criminal law.
