Natasha was called to the bar in July of 2003 and practices exclusively in the area of criminal defence litigation. She specializes in trial litigation, both jury and non-jury matters at the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice; with a particular emphasis on lengthy serious criminal matters.

Ms. Calvinho appreciates that any charge, no matter how small someone thinks it may be, is difficult and stressful matter that affects an individual profoundly. For this reason, criminal defence is a very personalized process and it is why Ms. Calvinho takes the time, care and attention to meet with everyone and assess what you – as the client – needs.

In order to work more closely with her clients and to better suit their needs, in January 2016 she left a larger firm where she was a partner and started her own law firm – Calvinho Criminal Defence.

Ms. Calvinho’s office, while based in Ottawa, regularly travels to other jurisdictions in the Ontario East Region, including Brockville, Cornwall, Pembroke, L’Orignal, Kingston and Perth to defend her clients.
