Brad Greenshields graduated from Queen’s Law School in 2007 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008. He articled and was Crown counsel at the Attorney-General’s Department - Crown Law Office - Criminal, where he argued appeals regularly at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He joined the criminal defence bar in 2010 as an associate at Lacy Wilkinson LLP where he worked on a variety of trial and appellate matters. In 2013, Brad joined Greenspan Partners LLP as an associate. Since that time, he has dedicated himself to defending persons charged with all manner of offences, becoming a partner in January 2019. Brad is a legal editor of the Canadian Criminal Cases.

Brad Greenshields has successfully represented clients throughout Ontario and in all levels of court in Ontario and in the Supreme Court of Canada, including his success in the recent case of R. v. Reeves in which the Court reversed the Court of Appeal and recognized the importance of privacy issues in determining whether police may seize and search a personal computer.
