Brook was born in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec and raised in Eastern Ontario. He went to Carleton University for his undergrad and graduated law school in 2019 from Queen’s University. He was an active member of the student body and in 2018 he represented the school at the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada. He was also a Case Worker at the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic where he represented vulnerable clients before the Landlord Tenant Board, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Court of Justice.
After completing his studies, Brook articled at a leading criminal defence firm in Toronto. Once he completed his articles in 2020, he was called to the Bar in both Ontario and Alberta and moved to Edmonton to start his career as a Crown prosecutor. There, he prosecuted files for a wide variety of criminal offences from minor thefts to serious firearm charges. In his time as a prosecutor, he appeared before the Alberta Provincial Court and the Court of the Queen’s Bench of Alberta.
In 2021, Brook joined LMS Lawyers to become an Associate. He currently represents clients facing criminal charges, offences under the Provincial Offences Act, Highway Traffic Act and other provincial acts. He also represents clients at hearings before the Parole Board of Canada. Since returning to Ontario, he has regularly appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario.
