After witnessing a miscarriage of justice in own family as a teenager, Darius Djawadi knew that his primary mission in life was to advocate for the legal rights of individuals. He has been involved with a number of prominent legal firms in Toronto throughout his legal and academic career, from completing his articles at the prominent Greenspan Partners LLP under the leadership of the late Edward Greenspan, to working in his multidisciplinary legal practice in the Danforth area.
With his passion for advocacy, Darius invests all of his energy into defending his clients against the most challenging circumstances. He takes a holistic view of the law and the people involved in it, which allows him to truly understand the issues at hand. Darius uses his creativity and insight in order to chart the path that he must guide clients through to try and achieve their desired results.
In addition to his involvement in civil and criminal litigation at all levels, Darius has worked numerous successful businesses involved in facilitating product distribution and purchase financing. Due to his business experience, Darius brings a unique perspective and skill set to his criminal defence clients as well as the business operations of MMH. He is able to leverage his diverse expertise to build effective strategies for complex legal defences for clients facing both criminal and civil proceedings. From an operational standpoint, Darius works to ensure that any savings in the firm’s efficiencies are passed on directly to the clients.
Darius holds a B.A. in Political Science (with Distinction) from York University (2010) and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa (2014). He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2015, and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Ontario Bar Association. He also lends his work and expertise to numerous charitable and non-governmental organizations, assisting young students and professionals from developing nations to achieve their educational and professional dreams in Canada. He is fluent in German.
