Eva Janta earned two law degrees from law schools in both Canada and the United States. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Law (Michigan) and Windsor Law School (Ontario).
Eva was Called to the Bar in Ontario in 2016 and she practices exclusively in criminal defence at KPA Lawyers. She works primarily in Toronto, but represents clients across all of Ontario.
She has worked almost exclusively in criminal law and quasi-criminal law throughout her entire legal career. She is passionate about protecting the integrity of our criminal justice system by ensuring that the system observes the constitutional rights of persons accused of crimes.
Eva has represented clients in Superior Court trials, Ontario Court trials, guilty pleas at both levels, bail hearings, and at the Court of Appeal.
She has defended clients with matters that range from simple matters, like thefts under $5000, to more serious matters, like sexual assault, aggravated assault, and importation of controlled substances.
