She defends clients before judges and juries on indictable and summary offence matters, appearing regularly in Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice in and around the GTA. She also appears regularly before administrative tribunals including the Ontario Review Board, Consent and Capacity Board, Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, Parole Board of Canada and Ontario Parole Board. She represents clients before regulatory tribunals including the Ontario College of Teachers and the College of Early Childhood Educators.
Leah is a licensed lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario. She graduated with law degrees from both the University of Windsor (Canada) and the University of Detroit Mercy (USA). During law school, Leah interned for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. She was called to the Ontario Bar after articling for Lydia Riva & Jessyca Greenwood. She worked as a Senior Associate at Greenwood Defence before starting her own firm.
Prior to law school, Leah earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. She grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. Leah is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association (CLA) and the Law and Mental Disorder Association (LamDA).
