Mélina was called to the Quebec Bar in 2007.
She started her career as a Crown prosecutor in amos,Quebec. That position required her to travel in the North of Quebec (Kuujjuaraapik, Salluit, WhaPMagoostui, Chisasibi, Wemindji, Eastmain, Mistissini, Oujé-Bougoumou, etc) permitting her to work on multiple files, allowing her to learn to adapt to situations where the files were many and time limited.
After that, she accepted a position in Alberta as a Crown prosecutor where she frequently dealt with files of assault, aggravated assault, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, breaking and entering, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, theft, robbery, fraud and offences relating to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
In 2014, Mélina worked for the City of Gatineau prosecuting the infractions in relation to the Highway Safety code and Municipal by-law infractions.
Her practice has been exclusively oriented to the fields of criminal and penal law since graduating from the University of Ottawa. She is fully bilingual, and will gladly represent you in Québec court if you have a criminal matter.
