About Robert Stanley Ernenwein

Robert Ernenwein is a native New Yorker. He graduated from Manhattan College in 1981. Thereafter, he graduated from Whittier College School of Law in 1984. While in law school Mr. Ernenwein was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and the Law Review. These organizations are reserved for the best and brightest students. During law school he was a clerk for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office in Nassau County, New York where he supported Assistant District Attorneys in preparing cases for trial. Mr. Ernenwein also acted as a law clerk for two civil firms during law school; the law offices of Wayne Abb and the law offices of Deems and Carpenter.

Robert Ernenwein became a member of the California Bar in 1984. Between 1984 and 1987, he was employed as a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure with the District Attorneys Office, he acted as prosecutor in over 150 felony and misdemeanor jury trials. His cases ranged from driving under the influence to rape and murder. He negotiated to settlement approximately 1500 misdemeanor and felony matters. In 1987, Robert Ernenwein entered private practice with Bruce McGregor, who was also a Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney. For the past 37 years, he has been in private criminal defense practice representing hundreds of individuals in misdemeanor and felony cases throughout Southern California.
