Christina E. Hedley is a partner in the firm’s insurance defense department. Originally from Long Island, New York, Christina earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven in 2008, and her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2012. While in law school, Christina was awarded a certificate in Trial Advocacy with honors. After law school, Christina worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit for six years. As an Assistant Public Defender, she litigated a variety of criminal cases, from juvenile delinquency to serious felony offenses. She regularly engaged in the discovery process, legal research, motion practice, depositions, and negotiations, and obtained significant bench and jury trial experience. Christina’s trial skills and expertise were recognized by the Florida Bar in August 2019 when she became a Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer. Since leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Christina’s practice has focused exclusively on insurance defense and first-party property matters. Christina is a member of the Central Florida Gay and Lesbian Law Association, the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, and the Orlando Claims Association.
