About Elizabeth Ann Peskin

Elizabeth Ann Peskin joined Shepard Law as a Partner in March, 2022. Ms. Peskin served as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting felony cases in Bay County and misdemeanors in Jackson County from 2019 - 2022. During her time as a prosecutor, Ms. Peskin worked closely with local law enforcement handling unlicensed construction cases that arose after Hurricane Michael. She brings her extensive knowledge and trial experience in that area to Shepard Law.

Prior to her time at the 14th Circuit State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Peskin owned and managed a firm that handled family law and criminal defense cases for ten years. During that time, she represented clients in matters ranging from First-Degree Murder to traffic tickets in Tallahassee, Marianna and Chipley, Florida. She began her career at a King & Spaulding in Atlanta and has also spent time at the Public Defender’s office in Tallahassee, Florida.

Ms. Peskin has also served as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator for both the 2nd and 14th judicial circuits and was an Adjunct Professor at the Florida State University College of Law, where she taught Legal Negotiations. Ms. Peskin is a member The Florida Bar (2004), The Georgia Bar (2002), and has been admitted to practice in the Northern District of Florida.

Ms. Peskin is a 2002 graduate of the Tulane University Law School, where she wrote for the Tulane Sports Journal. Ms. Peskin received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Nevada in 1999.
