Emily practices criminal defense law in Monroe county and has focused on developing relationships and expertise in the local criminal justice system since 2012. Emily went to law school locally and began her relationship with Salzmann Law as a part time secretary, and then as a certified legal intern while in law school.
Emily is fluent in Spanish and enjoys using her language skills to represent her clients. Emily began studying Spanish at the age of 5 and it is a lifelong joy of hers. Emily began law school with an interest in immigration law as well as criminal law and interned at an immigration law firm during law school.
Emily also has experience on the judicial side of the criminal justice system, completing a clerkship for a Judge in Morgan county during law school. Emily currently serves as judge pro tempore for several Monroe County Circuit Court Judges.
Emily began her interest in the criminal justice system with a focus in forensic psychology. This led to a major in criminal justice and the eventual decision to pursue a career as an attorney. Emily has focused on criminal law, either solely or in tandem with immigration law, since the very beginning of her legal career.
