Michael Farlow practices law in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Farlow clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Myron T. Steele (ret.) of the Delaware Supreme Court, and for the Honorable Judge Theordore R. Eschenburg and the Honorable Judge Thomas C. Groton, both of the Worcester County Circuit Court.

Farlow serves as attorney for a number of organizations, including the Maryland State Firemen’s Association, the MSFA Foundation, the Maryland Fire Chiefs’ Association, the MFCA Foundation, and numerous fire companies. Farlow is also the attorney for the Worcester County Shoreline Commission. He is a past president of the Worcester County Bar Association.

In addition to his law related activities, Farlow has taught as an Adjunct Lecturer in both the Political Science and Education Departments at Salisbury University, where he has taught Introduction to Politics, American Government, Courts and Judicial Processes, Campaign Management, and Public School Law. Farlow regularly speaks in front of community organizations and is available for speeches.

Farlow is a member of a number of Boards and Commissions. At the age of 19, Farlow was the youngest serving elected official in Maryland, serving as a Commissioner for the Town of Pittsville. He is currently serving as a member of the Snow Hill Historical Commission and formerly served as Chair of the Snow Hill Election Reform legislative drafting committee, as a member of the Wicomico County Executive’s Fire Advisory Committee, and as a member of the Right to Farm Committee in Wicomico County.

Michael Farlow is a member of the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Department, a lifetime member of the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department, a past-president and lifetime member of the Wicomico County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association, a past-president of the Pittsville Lions Club, a member of both Wicomico Lodge and Sinepuxent Lodge AF&AM, he is a Past State Master Councilor of Maryland DeMolay, is a former director of the Firefighter’s Historical Society of Delmarva, and is currently a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Farlow was recently inducted into the Maryland State Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame. He has received numerous other awards for his fire service, including Firefighter of the Year for the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department in 2005. He was awarded the Justin Y. Chen Political Science Honors Award at Salisbury University is a member of six academic honors societies, and was honored with the Chevalier Degree of the Order of DeMolay.
