I was born and raised in Allegan, MI being the 3rd of 5 children. My father, Peter, served in the United States Army and attended college at Michigan State University on the GI bill. It was there he met my mother, Nancy. After MSU, my parents married and my father enrolled at the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State School of Law) while my mother taught elementary school and began a family. After graudating and passing the bar, my parents moved to Allegan in 1971 as there was an openning in the prosecutor's office and to raise their young family in a less crowded area. My father went into private practice in 1976 and continues to practice law today.

I followed in my parents footsteps attending Michigan State University from 1991 to 1995 gradutating with High Honors. While in college, I spent my summers working in the United States Senate, Washington DC supervising Pages while also working in the cloakroom, an office directly off the Senate Floor.

In the fall of 1995, I enrolled in the New England School of Law in Boston, MA. While in law school, I worked as a research assistant but returned to Washington DC after my first year to work for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in the summer of 96. My interests eventually turned to the family practice and I returned home after graduation. Upon passing the bar exam in 1999, I began immediately handing misdemeanor criminal matters, family law, and child protective proceedings. In 2000, I began handling felony cases and my brother, Chris, joined the firm, Antkoviak & Antkoviak, P.C.

In my years of experience, I have handled over 5000 misdemeanor and felony cases which range from low level charges to capital felony offenses. I have tried over 60 cases including both misdemeanor and felony matters. I continue to handle family court matters as well as general practice issues. I am involved with various organizations including the Michigan Bar Association, Allegan County Bar Association, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan and State Appellate Defenders Office. I have served numerous terms with the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly and also served on local community boards for the City of Allegan including the Planning Commission and Parks Commission. I currently serve on the Allegan County Community Corrections Advisory Board, Ascension - Allegan General Hospital Board of Directors, Forgotten Man Ministries Board of Directors and until recently, as President of the Otsego Christian Academy School Board.

I am married to my wonderful wife of 15 years, Lori, and have three children. I am active in our local church, enjoy restoring historical homes, and writing poetry.
