Daniel P. Roberts joined GCLLG as a partner in 2011. Since being licensed to practice law in 2004, Mr. Roberts has practiced criminal law in State and Federal Courts. He has extensive jury trial experience having tried offenses ranging from Misdemeanors to First Degree Murder. Recently,Mr. Roberts was certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in the area of State Criminal Law. Mr. Roberts has also been a speaker at Continuing Legal Education programs (CLEs) concerning topics in criminal law litigation.
Mr. Roberts holds licensures to practice law in the following jurisdictions: the State Courts of North Carolina, the State Courts of California, Federal Court for the Western District of North Carolina, Federal Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, and the United States 4th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals.
Prior to entering into private practice, for 3 years Mr. Roberts practiced as an Assistant District Attorney in Union County (North Carolina). During that time he prosecuted cases in both District and Superior Court.
Mr. Roberts received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 2001, and his law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 2004.
