Criminal defense is and has always been my passion. I began my career as an Assistant Public Defender, where I gained invaluable experience. In my first 18 months as an attorney, I had the opportunity to try 21 cases. In October of 2008, I was offered a position an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Geauga County. Three months later, I was promoted to the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney of the Criminal Division. While my heart has always been in defense, my experience working on the other side as an Assistant Prosecutor was instrumental in my career. I believe this is one of the many things that sets me apart from most criminal defense attorneys. Having worked on both sides, I have the ability to anticipate just about anything the prosecution intends to throw my way.
I have also been through my own personal life struggles which have given me a unique ability to relate to my clients, as well as their families. This is yet another thing that sets me apart from many other attorneys. My goal is always to help my clients, not simply to "get them off." I believe I have helped many. For me, there is no greater victory.
There are not a lot of guarantees in our justice system. However, the one thing I can and will guarantee my clients is that I will fight for them...until the end. In many cases, this extends well beyond the duration of the specific case in which I've been retained. I am always personally invested and dedicated to each and every one of my cases and clients. I am truly blessed, as I get to do what I love every day.
