345 E. Market St., York, Pennsylvania
When the Commonwealth accuses someone of a crime this is a very serious allegation. The Commonwealth is putting this persons rights, reputation, and freedom at stake. I make it my absolute priority to protect their rights within the legal system, develop aggressive strategies toward defending their case, and ensure they are positioned and legally advised on how to best resolve their case and move forward.
Every legal situation is different and deserves an individualized approach. Every client has different needs and goals. Often emotional and other non-legal concerns arise as a result of a legal situation. I therefore ensure to listen closely, communicate frequently, and reject a "cookie cutter" approach to every case. Through this model I am able to provide uncompromising solutions and client service that enables me to minimize, if not eliminate, the consequences of the criminal accusation. I ensure to accomplish this with every client based on the belief that success in the area of criminal defense requires trial readiness, experience, legal knowledge, preparation and hands on client service.
By way of history, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh where I received a B.S. in both Business and Psychology. I then graduated Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware where I received a Juris Doctorate degree. While attending Widener Law School, I served on the Executive Board as an Editor for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and was the Vice President of the Student Bar Association. I was also selected for an externship with the Honorable Justice Richard Barclay Surrick of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
I spent over 2.5 years working as an Assistant District Attorney for York County, Pennsylvania where I was assigned to the Major Crimes Unit. During my time in the York County District Attorney’s Office I handled numerous jury trials where I obtained several noted convictions and gained significant litigation experience as well as a detailed insight into prosecutorial strategies. This experience has been invaluable in the develoPMent of a successful criminal defense practice.
I have been admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Middle District of Pennsylvania and both the Pennsylvania and York County Bar Associations. I am also an active participant in the Herbert B. Cohen Chapter of the american Inns of Court.
