Upon graduating from law school, Scott went to work for the Office of the First Circuit Public Defender where he excelled in providing high-quality representation to indigent citizens of Dorchester County, just north of Charleston. During his three years as public defender, Scott represented hundreds of defendants in all areas of criminal law and served as lead and assistant counsel during numerous trials ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanors and DUIs. Scott left the public defender office in 2011 to join Savage Law Firm in Charleston where he continued to represent clients in all areas of criminal law, professional licensing, and personal injury.

During his time at Savage Law Firm, Scott successfully managed a large caseload and increased his commitment to community service by frequently representing guests of the local homeless shelter, 180 Place, and becoming more involved in South Carolina Special Olympics. In August of 2018, Scott partnered up with Chris Adams to form Adams & Bischoff, P.C.
