He's a native San Antonian who grew up around the legal world with several attorneys in his family and found his inspiration to continue that tradition. After graduating from Texas A&M University, he attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law), in Fort Worth.

Although he could have pursued a career in corporate law or several other specialties, he loves being in the courtroom and feels a calling to help people in some of their most difficult times.
