He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Snohomish County Bar Association, Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington State Air National Guard.
He completed the United States Air Force Judge Advocate Staff Officer School and is a commissioned officer for the Washington Air National Guard. He has been a member of the Air National Guard for over 12 years. As a Staff Judge Advocate (JAG), he defends military personnel facing adverse actions and provides legal advice to unit commanders. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Washington, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in Washington, D.C., and in the United States Federal District Court.
