Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Smith was an assistant district attorney in Ozaukee and Marathon counties for four years. He then joined the law firm of Schmidt, Martz & Smith and was a partner there from 1990-2012 before starting his own firm of Richard J. Smith and Associates, Ltd. in 2012-2015.
