Andrew Knott Barrie Criminal Lawyer

Andrew is an associate lawyer at Eisen Dyer LLP, having joined the predecessor firm, Cugelman and Eisen, in the spring 2021. Andrew represents community members accused of minor thefts to serious sexual assaults, and all things in between. Andrew understands the stress and potentially life-altering consequences a criminal charge can cause. Andrew has a busy practice consisting of private and Legally Aided clients and takes pride in advocating for his clients with tenacity and resolve to achieve the best possible results. Andrew holds a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from York University. After law school Andrew completed his articles under the tutelage of a highly skilled Toronto defense lawyer, working on trial, appellate, parole, and social justice tribunal matters. At Osgoode, Andrew focused his studies on criminal law and learned from some of the brightest legal luminaries in the field. He is an alumnus of Osgoode’s Criminal Law Intensive program which included a placement in a busy downtown Toronto Crown Attorney’s office. He volunteered for Fair Change Community Services, providing pro bono representation to individuals from vulnerable populations charged with provincial offences. Andrew was the recipient of the prestigious Ian Scott Public Interest award at Osgoode. With that scholarship, Andrew interned in Durban South Africa, assisting a non-profit organization in constitutional litigation against the South African government.
