Jacob Gurwitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he attended on a full scholarship and was elected student body president. He later received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia, PA, and also received the James J. Manderino Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy as the top trial advocate in his class. During law school, he headed the pro bono Unemployment Compensation Project, training fellow law students to be effective advocates on behalf of individuals seeking their unemployment benefits.
Mr. Gurwitz has successfully represented clients in numerous jury trials and other hearings, ranging from disorderly conduct allegations to attempted murder charges.
