Prior to opening his own practice, Austin spent over a decade as a prosecutor in the Dallas County District Attorney’s office. In that time, Austin managed cases for alleged offenses including DWI, theft, violent crimes, capital murder, fraud, forgery, tampering with government records, white-collar, drug possession, and drug trafficking. Austin has tried over 70 jury trials to verdict, and has investigated, prepared, and negotiated thousands of criminal cases.

Austin spent considerable time prosecuting white-collar offenses and drug charges in particular, setting his knowledge and experience apart from other attorneys.

Austin graduated from Texas Tech University with a General Business degree in May of 2003 and received his law degree from St. Mary’s School of Law in 2006. When not working tirelessly for his clients, Austin is a very proud husband and father of two wonderful children. ​
