He was born in McAllen, Texas and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. While attending college he earned his commercial pilots license and flew corporate jets for corporations both in the United States and Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas Pan american and then his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

During Mr. Ramos’ law school years, he interned with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office as a Felony Intern assigned to the 227th Judicial District Court under the Honorable Judges Michael Machado and then Philip Kazen. Upon graduation from law school Mr. Ramos chose to enter private practice and immediately began practicing criminal law by working with a very well-respected, tough, experienced criminal defense attorney in San Antonio.
