Zach Jarvis began his career as a lawyer in 2005 by writing appeals for indigent persons. Through six years in the trenches as a public defender in King County, Zach and his clients enjoyed an atypical streak of trial victories. Prior to becoming a founding partner of Hart Jarvis Chang, Zach had been an associate attorney in a private, predominantly civil practice in South King County.

Zach has been lead or co-counsel on over twenty-six trials. Zach’s experience in criminal, civil, and appellate practice runs the spectrum from representing a man accused of murder to representing plaintiffs in suits against employers and government actors. Zach is proud to have always represented individuals against powerful entities.

While in law school, Zach participated in both mock trial and the arts law clinic. As a law student, he also studied abroad in India. When away from the office Zach enjoys movies of all eras, drawing, going to concerts, and spending time with his wife and young son. He has has travelled extensively throughout Northern Europe, Asia, and Mexico.
