Meeting these requirements does not mean JustCharged recommends or endorses the lawyer. People using the directory should review each lawyer’s information, speak with the lawyer directly, and confirm the lawyer’s current license status with the appropriate licensing authority in their jurisdiction.
How Lawyer Profiles Are Created
Some profiles are created from publicly available professional information before a lawyer joins. A draft profile may include the lawyer’s name, city, office address, and a short description of their practice. Draft profiles do not display a phone number or email address.
When a lawyer joins JustCharged, they can claim and complete their profile using information they provide. They can add or update information about their practice, background, and office, and choose how people can contact them. Contact information is only displayed on claimed profiles.
Lawyers are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit. If a lawyer finds incorrect information in a draft profile, they can contact JustCharged to have it corrected or removed.
How JustCharged Makes Money
Lawyers who join JustCharged pay a monthly or annual subscription fee. They choose the billing structure that works for them.
JustCharged does not sell higher placement in the directory. A lawyer’s billing choice does not determine where they appear. JustCharged does not sell leads. When someone contacts a lawyer through the directory, the inquiry goes directly to that lawyer’s office.
Where JustCharged Operates
JustCharged serves Canada, the United States, and Mexico. The terminology varies by country. In Canada, people commonly search for a criminal lawyer or criminal defence lawyer. In the United States, they may search for a criminal defense lawyer or criminal defense attorney. In Mexico, they may search for an abogado penalista. The purpose is the same: to help people find individual lawyers who defend criminal cases where legal help is needed.

JustCharged was founded by Mark McCook, a former criminal lawyer who previously spent eleven years in law enforcement. It is operated by Rainmark Media Inc., a company that has worked in criminal law marketing since 1997.
That work made one thing clear: a skilled lawyer cannot help someone who never finds them. At the same time, a person facing a charge deserves a clear way to find lawyers whose work focuses on criminal defense.
JustCharged was built to bring those two groups together.
