Carlos E. Jimenez grew up in Perth amboy, New Jersey. He graduated Perth amboy High School in 1987, Rutgers University in 1992 and Rutgers University School of Law – Newark in 1995. The State of New Jersey admitted Carlos to practice Law in 1996. Mr. Jimenez focuses his private practice on criminal defense.

Mr. Jimenez began his legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mathias E. Rodriquez, J.S.C and the Honorable Roger Daley, J.S.C in Middlesex County. After leaving his clerkship, Mr. Jimenez began working at The Law Office of Dennis V. Nieves, Esq. in Perth amboy, New Jersey. The Law Office of Dennis V. Nieves, Esq. was a private law firm that concentrated its practice in criminal defense. Mr. Jimenez work at The Law Office of Dennis V. Nieves from 1996 to 2000.

In 2000, Mr. Jimenez left The Office of Dennis V. Nieves, Esq. and joined the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office where he was assigned to the Adult Trial Unit. In 2002, Mr. Jimenez left the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and joined the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. While at the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Jimenez was responsible for handling all criminal matters from the pre-indictment stage through sentencing. In the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Jimenez was assigned to the Juvenile Unit, Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit, Trial Unit and Drug Court Unit. Mr. Jimenez was also a Trial Team Supervisor. Mr. Jimenez left the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office in 2014.

After leaving the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Jimenez opened his law firm in Perth amboy, New Jersey. Carlos’s law practice concentrates in defending individuals accused of criminal, drunk driving, and motor vehicle offenses throughout the various New Jersey counties in both County Superior Court and Municipal Court.
