About John Erik Baureis

Having been in practice for nearly 13 years, I know that effective representation comes from having handled clients on both sides of every issue. I began my career as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Arkansas prosecuting matters from every corner of the state. After serving in that capacity for almost 5 years, I shifted my practice to represent those that did not have the means to hire a qualified private attorney, in my capacity as a public defender throughout six counties in Northwest Arkansas. In this role, I represented hundreds of clients charged with the most severe felonies to those with minor misdemeanors. I now practice with the law firm of Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider & Pawlik, which has a team of 12 attorneys who can handle any need of a potential client. If you have been charged with a crime and need to talk with an attorney about it, I give free consultations. I understand that simply being charged with a crime creates enough anxiety and free advice is my way of helping you with that.
